Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer’s lease hath all too short a date; Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm’d; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimm’d; But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st; Nor shall Death brag thou wander’st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st: So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

\ \ Notes From The Oversky\ \ In Networks We Trust\ \ Trust can be a rare commodity in startup societies. We meet in passing under the same hotel roof without taking the time to learn the truth about each other. We meet during meals three times a day and get a new taste of each other's personalities. We have to agree on a certain set of rules, called etiquette and politeness, to make living together tolerable while avoiding unnecessary conflict. We see each other or avoid eye contact at hotel lobbies and social lounges both day and night. Trust ...](https://paragraph.com/@oversky/trust)

What can a first impression tell us about someone we’ve just met for a minute in the lobby of a hotel? For that matter, what can a first impression tell us about anyone? Why, no more that a chord can tell us about Beethoven, or a brushstroke about Botticelli. By their very nature, human beings are so capricious, so complex, so delightfully contradictory, that they deserve not only our consideration, but our reconsideration, and our unwavering determination to withhold our opinion until we have engaged with them in every possible setting at every possible hour

She pushed him with two fingers at first, lightly, as if the swing might refuse them both. The chains were wet from the rain. His sneakers flashed toward her and away again, the bottoms gone gray from the dusty playground, which now turned muddy. Each time he came back he laughed in silence, as if the air had taken it. Then she pushed again.
He did not shout, nor did he seem to want to go higher. She felt something old in herself open, the one between being twenty-four and being a mother of a three-year-old, wanting to be looked at and wanting to disappear. Her son leaned back against the seat, not from trust, but from the pull of motion, his small body giving itself to the swing. The light shifted, the park emptied and refilled, damp turned to chill, her body numbed, but she met each change as if for the first time.
He comes forward, she pushes, he swings out, he comes back. The park still belongs to afternoon. A stroller wheel drags through wet gravel, a father shakes rain from the hood of his sweatshirt, the smell of mulch lifts where the ground has begun to dry. Her fingers slip on the chains. They are colder now than they were before, though she does not seem to notice. His shoes keep finding the same dull shine as they swing toward her, then away. Once, a woman glances over as she gathers her daughter from the slides, then glances again, as if trying to place what is unusual. The woman leaves, and the swing keeps moving. He comes forward. She pushes.
He comes forward, she pushes, he goes out, he comes back. The voices thin first. Then the traffic beyond the fence changes from the flat rush of day to the separate passing of cars she can almost count, but again fails to notice. The damp in her sweatshirt turns clammy, then simply becomes her skin. He comes forward. She pushes. As the moon slips behind the clouds, the chill of dark arrives, while the chains remain in motion, all throughout the night. He comes forward, she pushes, he goes out, he comes back.
At dawn, police enter the park. A resident had called to report that a young woman had been pushing a toddler on a swing "for an unusually long period of time." One officer moved toward the swing as if to stop it. The child had been dead for forty-two hours.

I am seated in an uber from bcity. I am listening to KT Saint Janet -Arabambi Fa, an afro track that’s calming my nerves. Moments ago I witnessed a man fall off his bike. He was drunk. It was a hard fall. He stumbled while getting up. His manoeuvre was sloppy. I didn’t hear him fall because I was standing by the bus stand, waiting for my uber, listening to some song from soundcloud. I recorded him because I thought it’d make for a good story on the gram, blissfully unaware that the flash was on for him to see.

fourth draft:
Not everyone who performs is lost. We perform for progress, especially in this stage of social media where content is king and the creator its obedient servant. All of us go home each evening and at some moment, with whatever degree of awareness, review the signs that sustain the continuity of our character. The dilemma of the performative person is believing that one day their act will be done. “I’m only doing this now so that one day I can do what I really want with my life.” The passport bro may say, “I will travel and sow my wild oats… only then will I settle down with a woman to have children.” The situationship may think, “If I stay with him long enough, he’ll commit to me one day.” Both operate on the pretence that things will be different in a fundamental way as long as their act continues. It rarely does. They may not intend malice, let alone plan for it, but performative people justify thinking too highly of themselves. “I am good, am I not, very, very good? All right then, tell me why I am so good.” The clueless consultant who is sent into his office to find clients is hardly encouraged to fix their problems. He sees only his clients and his computer, then sinks into the role of a cog in the corporate machine. Boring professors’ lectures have scarcely any ideal worth; they are ridden by the routine of research, subjecting their souls to dollars. Dull students become messengers for artificial intelligence, outsourcing their lessons to machines that are far from creative. Their daily rehearsal may become permanent. The passport bro who rents intimacy learns to negotiate desire. The consultant who sells certainty learns to avoid doubt. The student who delegates thought learns without understanding. So it goes for consultants, professors, students and passport bros: they wake up more refined at being what they already were. The solution is simple and deeply uncinematic. Identifying a performative male is like running a Turing test to see whether a machine is human; you’ll know he’s real when he stops pretending. Like the For You Page, such people become clever algorithms designed to manufacture admiration, not meaning—running until the man inside realizes he has worked overtime to impress people who are not actually there. The only sensible escape is without an audience. It’s the same feeling Truman felt as he exited his show: “In case I don’t see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night.”

letter to my valentine:
If a person were an emergent, quasi-autonomous flow of information. Where this person can exist in multiple instances, some different from each other, some not. If we are outputs dependent on results that were computed in vast numbers of different histories of the same few atoms. Atoms existing in multiple instances that shape the person across different dimensions. If people were all that and more, it would suggest that soulmates can exist on this vast multiplicity of universes.
Yes, it is a fact that people are universal explainers, so one's love for another spanning across multiverses should not be considered fiction. Would the origin of their love be from the beginning of infinity? After all, love is a computation which, given a theory of how the computer on which it runs works, establishes the truth of some abstract relationship. Most women may disagree with me, claiming that love cannot be an algorithm, naively believing that it is simply a feeling that cannot be explained. I often find myself in agreement, hoping they don't feel the same after I've slept with them.
Yes, love is an unconditional, detached, and pure form of friendship that cannot be defined, but only falsified. It is a commitment to keep improving our explanations of each other, to learn beyond what I already know about you. This unpredictability of the content of future love is a necessary condition for the unlimited growth of that love. Yet, whatever branches the future contains, in this one I’m grateful you exist.

when particles collide, both matter and antimatter are born. Antimatter is the same mass as ordinary matter but opposite electric charge and quantum properties. The antimatter never lasts. It erases itself on contact. By all logic, both should not have survived the universe’s beginning, yet matter did. Something made antimatter easier to destroy. The conditions of social scalability is to form a community of people to do great things together and to want more from reality. Man is not a slave to race or religion, but his own programming, and productive societies are made from people that have character, common sense, creativity, and civility. With that being said, we share the same human nature, which makes us more alike than different. People behave similarly when faced with similar circumstances

My hobbies as of right now are traveling, writing, developing software, raving, biking, finding yote, reviewing washrooms of clubs, and reading. I probably read more than the other side quests, but as a libra, I like to keep things well balanced. I used to have another hobby of stealing bottles from clubs, but I’ve since stopped after I got caught on CCTV footage of some toronto bar called apartment 200. The way I see it, writing is an in the moment act. It’s about my own projections, insecurities, justifications, hoping for an explanation stitched to the fabric of reality. Sure, I’ll come back to read what I wrote and cringe because it’s written in shame. Just know, I edit down to what I feel is a viable explanation of my thought process.. Apologies for my weaponized incompetence during the tenure of our relationship. The nonchalant attitudes and avoidant platitudes you didn’t deserve. You see, at some point in time, in my mind, was a means to an end. Only, you saw something more. Sorry for not seeing your vision. I was unsure. The door has closed. Im afraid that reopening it again will lead to the same door shutting. Then even more suffering. So I urge you, don’t yearn for an opening or listen for creaks. Lock in to something better

I will refrain from prescribing how you should live. I am making it up. I may claim awareness that proves to be useful or valuable to you, but I have no clue. As I feel the fabric of reality, I will figure those feelings with words and share its warmth with you. These letters are written by me (yes handwritten in a notebook somewhere before it gets sent to you). Fun. That's all I ask from you. I want writing this to be as fun as reading it

I nearly got into a fight at an LA bar once. I practice pickpocketing people when I'm drunk and bored in a club somewhere. I give it everything back, unless it's a bottle from the bar. There was a time I tried pickpocketing a random girl in a toronto club called isabelas. She had an iPhone sticking out of her left backpocket. A friend dared me to lift it from her, and because I was drunk and bored, I did it. Only, she caught me. I was too sloppy with the technique. Anyway, that's not the reason for why I almost got in a fight. The toronto girls took it lightly. The men in LA did not. First, it was the end of the night, but the bar had an afterparty reserved for a friendgroup celebrating. My friendgroup managed to sneak in somehow. Again, I was drunk and bored, so had my sights on a man. I had my wits and thought rather than going straight for the target, start by telling their friends you want to pickpocket the target. That way, the friends are aware, I return what I steal, or get caught with credibility.

Truth is, I meant everything I’ve said up until now. I was fooling myself, but it took me until now to figure it out for myself, and now that I have, it’s only right for me to explain what I’m thinking. I don’t think we’ll work out. It had to be said. I could’ve stitched a better sentence to cushion the blow, but it’s the simplest way I can put it. You may ask why I think we may not work out? A valid question, but would you want the answer if it were heartbreaking?

trynna define values
For your words to have value, you must know what your values are. The nature of good and bad, what relative worth you give to things, people, and events of your life. The values that embed themselves to us from moral or religious ideas, founded in culture. Values define the parameters of their actions. They indicate to those who share them what is desirable, to what degree it is desirable, and what we should strive for. They also provide us with a guidance system to choose the “right” alternative when several courses of action are possible. this is where your values conflict. You like your boyfriend, but do you love him? Then problems arise. When and how do you go about breaking up with him? Those two questions will define values to your core.

Data modeling and dating aren’t that different. Both involve relationships. With database relationships, there can be one-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many. Dating relationships work the same (exclusive, cheating, and polyamory). Data modeling is meant to be predictable while dating is uncertain. Modeling data is working with set amounts of existing information, structuring it to make sense. Dating never makes sense. It’s meant to be volatile until you find someone to make sense of it all together.
