Games for Change day at London Games Festival
This month, we headed to London for something that felt very us: Games for Change day at the London Games Festival. Originally we were planning to attend the main event in New York last year, but timing (and budgets) had other ideas. So when we saw it land in the UK for the first time, we didn’t hesitate to grab some tickets. For context, Games for Change is a global non-profit focused on using games for social good. It brings together developers, educators, researchers, policymakers, and organizations to make a difference.

Play with purpose

Back to the (Drawing Board) Future...
This week’s update is all about fun and making sure we've captured it in our game. After a few months of testing, playing and layering in features, powerups, projectiles, enemy waves, first-person food fights and more… we took a deep breath, stepped back, and asked: “Is this still fun to play?” The answer was… not quite. So we’ve done what every good dev team should do now and again... ripped it apart, put the wagon wheels down, and gone back to the drawing board to focus on the fun factor for players.

Smarter Enemies & Smoother Controls🎮
GM GM’ers & Hangry Fam’ers, Quick update this week, as we press on with core game loop… we’ve been deep in development over here: Enemy reward drops (based on varying factors of Player status), Spawn pacing (Respawning more enemies after deliveries), Animation triggers (Player reacting to enemy states and behaviors). As this develops into our playable loop, I’ll be sharing new gameplay videos to showcase the latest control updates and our new enemy behaviors.
