Sofia Coppola Short Film Award Submission Deadline Extended

Due to the overwhelming response to the Sofia Coppola Short Film Award, along with currently in-process support tickets, the award submission deadline has been extended by 48 hours until July 2, 2026. This extension is intended to give in-process projects additional time to finalize their submissions and complete edits to existing projects. Please note: no edits will be allowed during the final 24 hours of the submission period, so creators are encouraged to complete any remaining updates as soon as possible.

We’re thrilled to announce the Sofia Coppola Short Film Award—an exciting new award dedicated to discovering and supporting an emerging filmmaker whose unique creative voice deserves to be championed today. As Sofia said, "we love hearing from unique voices, and with the help and insight of the DCP community, we're confident that we will recognize a standout filmmaker."
What the award includes: The selected recipient receives a package built to move a film forward: $20,000 to produce a short film, along with mentorship and resources to elevate their storytelling.
