Builder is Buzzing
Builder Buzz is back. It has been a little while since the last update, and there is plenty to catch up on across the Builder ecosystem. Between new funding experiments, ecosystem proposals, product progress, and activity from Builder-based communities, there is a lot moving again. We are excited to bring this newsletter back into a more regular rhythm and use it as a place to share what is shipping, what is forming, and what the community is up to.
Stellar Community Fund
Builder DAO recently submitted an application to the Stellar Community Fund to explore what Nouns Builder could look like on Stellar. The proposal focuses on bringing the core Builder model to Soroban, including no-code DAO creation, recurring auctions, treasuries, proposal voting, and modular governance contracts built for Stellar communities. The application is now in the Community Vote stage, with results expected in about a week. We are grateful to everyone who helped shape the proposal and excited by the possibility of introducing Builder to a new network of onchain communities.
Artizen Fund
We also launched the Nouns Builder Fund on Artizen, creating a new way for people to back the contributors, projects, and experiments forming around the protocol. The fund includes a matching pool, so individual contributions can go further and help direct resources toward work that strengthens Builder from the edges. For a protocol that is meant to be used, built upon, and stewarded by many communities, this is an important step towards broad support for our builders.

Devcon
Devconnect Buenos Aires was a strong showing for Builder and a meaningful collaboration with Gnars DAO. What started as a shared IRL activation turned into a week of conversations, demos, hacking, community building, and exploration of how Builder can serve creative and action-oriented DAOs. Thanks to everyone who organized, attended, and helped represent the ecosystem on the ground. It was a great reminder that Builder is not just software, but infrastructure for communities that want to coordinate and make things happen.
Day 1 of @nounsbuilder & @gnars_dao at Devconnect: the other kind of 9am meeting, figuring out hacking on 3G, hunting down that coffee at the venue, and enjoying the vibes at the booth
Recap of Day 2 @nounsbuilder x @gnars_dao @ @EFDevcon - the sun is finally out in BA and we’re balancing hacking and party. Finally met @Billyjitsu from @katana to enable @willyogo to embed defi interactions into nounspace.
Belated recap of day 4 at @EFDevcon - a quiet day in the @nounsbuilder x @gnars_dao camp. @katana challenges are coming along. The evening held Nouns dinner, late night hacking, and cyberpunk vibes only.
There’s always a first. Hosted my first @nounsbuilder breakfast today together with @gnars_dao and @katana. Next time, we’ll double down on shilling in IRL. Thank you all for supporting the mission!
aaaand that’s a wrap for @gnars_dao x @nounsbuilder @ @EFDevcon. We’ll see you in Mumbai next year.
Tech Pod: What We've Been (Building) Up To
It's been a while. Six months of buidling, to be precise.
The last time we sent a newsletter, we were wrapping up the Builder x Gnars Hacker House at Devconnect. It was a wonderful and busy week of spring Buenos Aires that turned into something bigger than a hacker house. Skate & Jazz, Builder Bagels, a Nouns Fair booth, conversations with L2 teams, founders coming together on Telegram, and real conversations about the technical future of Builder. Not bad for a week's work.
What started there as an experiment in decentralised collaboration has since turned into something more permanent, setting precedent for where Builder’s technology roadmap is headed. Gnars now formally came onboard as community contributors working with the Tech Pod.
Gnars x Builder: From Hacker House to Residency
Following Devconnect, we reviewed the Gnars proposal, submitted it to Builder DAO on their behalf, and kicked off a contributor onboarding process. Vlad and r4to are now active contributors under the residency, with a standing Wednesday sync. Their early feedback already shaped the bid-with-comment feature that shipped in April. This week they released the work under the first milestone — a long-awaited update to the Builder DAO template site, including a no-code launcher. @Satori put the Builder DAO Launcher already to the test and you should seriously consider doing the same when spinning up a new DAO.
Builder DAO Launcher one-click deploy interface: One-click DAO deployment. No terminal required.
Dark Mode is here
Another success story on the path to decentralised contributions has been @Satori's engagement in putting out features everyone likes, but never hit the priority threshold compared to infrastructure-related issues. Thanks to his work, Nouns Builder is now available in dark mode and has a fresh and clean about page.
Updated About page in dark mode with dynamic content, DAO updates, and stats.
Six Months of Shipping
Here's a condensed read of what the Tech Pod has shipped since November. There's a lot.
November — The Social Feed Goes Live
We launched the activity feed with action buttons for global, DAO-specific, and profiles views. DAO search landed on the Explore page. Propdates were migrated to an in-house subgraph. EAS attestation support was added. The infrastructure underpinning Builder's next generation social features was built here.
Builder social feed: Where governance meets social.
December — Coining Strategy Locked In
We settled the dual-protocol coining approach: Clanker for DAO governance coins, Zora for content coins. A standalone Playground page launched to customise artwork before putting up a proposal — one of the longest-standing community requests, finally logged and shipped. Social feed performance improved significantly. Propdates gained retroactive update support.
January — Mainnet Integrations
The Builder Coining Design Document v1.1 was finalised. Functional previews went live for both Zora Coining and Sablier integrations. We also revamped the Nouns Builder Dune Dashboard for up-to-date cross-chain analytics.
February — Coining and Droposals to Production
Coining shipped to mainnet. Droposal support moved to production, introducing a Gallery section to DAO pages. Sablier streaming was finalised — you can now stream tokens for recurring contributions and milestones. Minting and share actions were integrated directly into the feed. We judged the Nouns Builder track at ETH Denver and supported two hackathon tracks.
Gnars’ Gallery page showing Droposals and Coins all in one place
March — Governance Momentum
Sablier airdrop proposal type support shipped. Profile customisation now allows users to reorder and hide DAOs from their profile. Proposal "on behalf of" and discussion URL fields were added. A major documentation update went live covering Coining, Droposals, Sablier, the feed, the ERC-721 Redeem Minter, and user profiles. The Farcaster Bot came back online.
April — Frontend Overhaul and Contract Groundwork
April was dense. On the frontend, we rolled out wallet profile previews throughout the app, favourited DAOs, extra DAO links, bid-with-comment, treasury filter toggles, unified proposal preview UX with rich transaction metadata. On the contract-level, we started upgrading the v2 mainnet. Four new protocol features entered active development: updatable proposals, proposal candidates, deterministic DAO deployments, and Safe registration under DAO treasuries.
Wallet profile preview popup on the Builder app (kudos @Satori)
May — Mainnet Parity Achieved
ETH mainnet was brought to parity with the L2 v2.0.0 deployments. The ERC721 Redeem Minter is now live on mainnet. Dark mode shipped to production (thank you @Satori for your contributions!). A revamped About page is live. A cluster of DAO creation flow bugs were identified and resolved.
A Note on Zora Network
This was not an easy decision, but there has virtually been no activity on Zora Network for Nouns Builder. For this reason, we are deprecating Zora network support, effective July 15th 2026.
There are currently two active DAOs on Zora. We've been in direct contact with both communities to communicate timelines and next steps. The decision reflects where the ecosystem has moved, and where we're focused. Any DAOs or communities with questions should reach out directly.
What's Coming Next
A few things are currently in development that are worth watching:
Gnars' template site features are coming to Builder — the sleek new features developed, tested, and designed under the first milestone of their community contributions.
Updatable proposals — a governance-level change letting proposers revise a proposal before it enters voting, with tracked history. Long-standing request, contract work underway.
Safes as DAO sub-treasuries — register a Gnosis Safe under a DAO treasury, controllable through governance proposals. Useful for working groups, grants, and operational budgets. ( Issue #931, #954)
Proposal candidates — outside contributors propose scopes of work and gather DAO support before a full on-chain submission. Mirrors what Nouns has on nouns.wtf. ( Issue #930)
Improved profiles — Farcaster connection, activity feed filters, delegation from profile, bio and social fields. ( Issue #953)
Universal search — search across DAOs, profiles, proposals, and auction activity from a single bar. ( Issue #952)
EAS-based Creator Coin trust attestations — a governance flow for DAOs to mark their creator coin as trusted via EAS. ( Issue #951)
Our roadmap is open and reflected on the BuilderOSS GitHub project board: Come see what's in flight.
That's six months of context. More to come — and now, more regularly.
