May 2025 Recap

May energized the BizarreBeasts ecosystem with immense enthusiasm, strategic initiatives, innovative technology, exciting collaborations, trending token growth, and a variety of experimental releases.

This momentum is set to continue as summer approaches. In May, we launched new games, unveiled fresh artwork, teamed up with renowned creators, and expanded access for BizarreBeasts collectors and community members.

Highlights

Empire Economics & Growth

This month, we doubled down on strategic growth and sustainability. We have now burned a total of 100.83 million $BB, reducing the total supply while increasing the scarcity and potential long-term value of the token.

Treasury funding also received a substantial boost from recent IRL painting sales and auctions. This allowed us to distribute over $220 in rewards across the Empire, including:

The $BB ecosystem also expanded its reach with a new Telegram group, a ProductClank listing, and increased visibility through Devfolio with an entry into Base Batch. We also paid for a new Dex listing to enhance visibility and community confidence in the long-term success of our project.

Token Performance: $BB on the Rise

May was a strong month for the $BB token! Launched on April 7th at a price of $0.0000001459, $BB showed impressive growth throughout May. By May 1st, the token had already reached $0.00000046, demonstrating early momentum.

The high point came on May 21st, when $BB hit a peak price of $0.00000103 (as reported on Dexscreener), a significant move from its launch price. This upward trend was supported by a rapidly growing community, with the number of $BB token holders surpassing 1200 by month's end. Our market cap also experienced a healthy increase, rising from approximately $ 21,000 on May 1st to around $ 44,000 by May 31st.

This performance showcases the growing confidence and engagement within the BizarreBeasts Empire, demonstrating that our community-driven approach is effectively building value.

New Tools & Experiences

Miniapp Launch: Your Bizarre Dashboard

The BizarreBeasts Miniapp, built by my go-to dev and friend @g0hst, is officially live! Created with the Farcaster ecosystem in mind, it offers BizarreBeasts art collectors and $BB token holders a simple, real-time dashboard for tracking leaderboard rank, boosters, resources, notifications, and more.

Game On: Checkerz Joins the Farcade

Adding to BizarreBeasts’ growing arcade lineup, Checkerz launched as a simple but BIZARRE take on a classic game. Just like TicTacToe and Head Crush, it features original hand-drawn art and exists in both playable Farcade experience and as a mintable NFT collection.

Collaborations & Art Drops

GrumBeast: A Collab with $REAPS Empire

One of the month’s standout moments was the GrumBeast drop, a fusion of BizarreBeasts’ illustrations and @rumbl.eth's haunting Grum Reaper art toy. It started as a playful response to a casting prompt by Rumbl—and ended in a full-blown illustrated NFT collaboration of 14 pieces.

$BB x $SAUSAGE Empire Collab: A Flavorful Frenzy

We cooked up something special with the $SAUSAGE Empire! This collaboration brings juicy chaos to the Farcade with a custom BizarreBeasts Sausage character playable in @sausagedad's popular Sausage Climb game (which boasts over 30,000 plays!).

IRL Art, Onchain Impact: New Painting NFTs

In May, my original canvas painting, "The Audience," was sold and subsequently released as a limited-edition NFT on Highlight.

This was followed by an exclusive 1/1 auction for $BB holders featuring "Watcher of the Odd Moon," a hand-painted piece with a 5x booster utility and a 50/50 revenue share for the $BB treasury.

"Watcher of the Odd Moon" was successfully acquired by @yerbearserker for 111,111,111 $BB, further demonstrating how IRL art fuels onchain rewards. These sales directly funded the $BB treasury, with 50% of the proceeds allocated to the empire.
