Quick Take
Tipn has launched Season 7 of its Allocations program featuring $OINC.
Allocators can tip $OINC directly from the @oinc.eth treasury using cast replies.
End-of-season rewards will be distributed to the top 50 allocators based on $ volume activated.
Tipn has announced the launch of Season 7 of its Allocations program, featuring $OINC as the primary token for this cycle. The season will run for three weeks and introduces a mechanism that allows allocators to distribute $OINC directly from the @oinc.eth treasury by commenting a formatted tip in cast replies.
Any $OINC received through the allocation process can be claimed and staked through the Tipnearn.com application. Staked tokens generate rewards denominated in $CLANKER and USDC, linking allocator activity to onchain usage and longer-term participation within the Tipn ecosystem.
Season 7 begins with 560 eligible allocators and a total allocation pool of 800 million $OINC. A full allocator showcase has been prepared by Quotient, providing transparency around eligible participants and allocation distribution.
At the conclusion of the season, additional rewards will be airdropped to the top 50 allocators. Rankings are determined by “$ volume activated,” a metric designed to measure how effectively tipped tokens result in active $OINC holders and engaged Tipn users. According to the team, both ongoing allocations and end-of-season bonuses scale based on the quality and impact of allocator activity, incentivizing thoughtful distribution rather than volume alone.

Quick Take
Farcaster has completed its first automated fee swap to acquire $CLANKER.
The change replaces infrequent manual purchases with regular automated swaps.
The Clanker treasury now holds 20,391 $CLANKER, representing approximately 2.03% of total supply.
The Farcaster team has executed its first automated fee swap to acquire $CLANKER, marking a transition away from its previous manual treasury purchase process. The initial automated swap resulted in the acquisition of 493 $CLANKER.
Under the prior system, protocol fees were periodically accumulated and swapped manually, leading to irregular treasury movements and noticeable spikes in on-chain fee activity. By moving to automated swaps, the team aims to distribute purchases more evenly over time, reducing volatility in fee-related transactions.
As a result, large one-off spikes from liquidity provider fees are expected to appear less frequently on the Clanker Dune dashboard. Instead, treasury balances should increase more gradually as fees are collected and swapped on a regular basis.
Following the update, the Clanker treasury now holds 20,391 $CLANKER tokens, equivalent to approximately 2.03% of the token’s total supply. The change reflects an effort to improve the predictability and transparency of Clanker’s fee management and treasury operations.

Quick Take
Farcaster has paused future Clanker presales while it works on a redesigned launch mechanism.
The team cited fairness, price discovery, and liquidity limitations in the existing presale system.
A new Clanker launch feature is expected to take several months to build and will be developed with community feedback.
Farcaster has announced a pause on future Clanker presales as it re-evaluates its current token launch mechanism. The update was shared by Farcaster co-founder Dan Romero, who stated that the team is working on a new Clanker launch feature designed to address structural issues observed in recent presales.
The decision follows a Clanker presale run by the House team several weeks ago, which utilized the platform’s gated v4 presale functionality. The sale sold out immediately, reportedly before it could be announced in-app. While the team met its fundraising target, participation was limited to a small number of buyers, despite prior communication that led many Farcaster users to expect access.
Romero acknowledged that the presale design contributed to the outcome, noting that an allowlist should have been required. However, he emphasized that even with allowlists, the existing presale mechanism has broader limitations.
According to Farcaster, the current model incentivizes speed rather than long-term alignment, lacks built-in price discovery, and requires teams to define an implicit market capitalization upfront by selecting a fixed percentage of tokens sold and a target ETH amount. In addition, presale proceeds do not contribute to launch liquidity, and the system does not support cancellation or refunds once a presale begins.
In response, the Farcaster team is returning to the design phase with three stated objectives: enabling broader and fairer distribution, ensuring trading begins with deep liquidity at a market cap determined through price discovery, and aligning economic incentives between teams and token holders.
The new Clanker launch feature is expected to take a few months to develop. Farcaster plans to collaborate with interested teams during the design process to gather feedback and iterate before the feature is released publicly.

Traveling outside of Asia for the first time (and enduring a 16-hour flight) was worth every second. New York is really amazing, and massive thanks to Jacy and Po On for making it all possible, inviting out 37 people from Farcaster and beyond.
So, what exactly is the Aptos Experience?
The Aptos Experience is a two-day event showcasing the Aptos ecosystem, its projects, partners, and builders, all under one roof. It’s more than just a crypto conference; it’s where you get to see the vision of Aptos unfold IRL. Talks, new announcements, booths, and of course, the energy of meeting internet friends face to face, it’s all here.
I’m writing this so you can feel like you were there, or at least imagine being part of the chaos, the laughter, and the surreal moments of being surrounded by the future of web3.
My pre-event adventures
I landed early to soak in New York as both a tourist and a wannabe local. Target runs, Trader Joe’s snacks, a Chipotle bowl, and a proper sidewalk hotdog, check. I devoured a Shake Shack burger, tried a Katz Philly Cheesesteak, and even saw the Statue of Liberty and the 9/11 Memorial. I rode the subway a million times, had pancakes and bacon with orange juice for breakfast, and yes, spotted a New York rat (a rite of passage, obviously). I even rubbed the Wall Street bull’s balls for luck. I hope I did it like a local.
October 14: The Pre-Event Vibes
Then came October 14, when there was a pre-event at Royal Palms Shuffleboard for the Aptos Experience. We got to hang out and chill before the main event, and I even made a short video showing what we did there. It was truly amazing to finally see people you’ve only met online. I finally got the chance to meet Jacy, Po On, Thedude, Aivan, Shanelle, Cait and Blake from Boys Club, and Bobby Thakkar of Propaganda. I didn’t get the chance to play shuffleboard, but the vibes were immaculate. Honestly, just being there and soaking it all in was more than enough.
Oh, and before that, I got the chance to visit the Aptos office, and it was pretty cool stepping inside a crypto headquarters and seeing firsthand where things actually move.
October 15: Day 1 - Builders, Booths, and Brainstorms
October 15 was the first day of the Aptos Experience, and it honestly didn’t disappoint. The venue was only a 10-minute walk from where we stayed, and the setup was really nice. Upon entering, we were greeted by a concierge who quickly found our names on the guest list. It was the kind of conference where there were a lot of people but you could still move freely without bumping into anyone. Once inside, we saw booths for projects like Hyperion, Aptos Labs, Decibel, Geomi, Merkle, Petra, Goblin, Santa, and many more.
As someone who spent most of their crypto life on Ethereum, stepping outside my comfort zone was a great experience. It felt like getting a first-class seat to everything being built beyond what I usually see on my feed. Talking to projects IRL instead of URL hits different, and I can now officially say I’m omnichain. There was a coffee booth where we could choose from different caffeinated drinks (I got matcha, obviously), an ice cream truck, and talks running all day in both the main stage and the Builders House.
We supported two people from Farcaster that day: Bobby Thakkar, who gave a talk on Good Tech and Bad Design about how bad UX kills adoption.
Laura Shin, who interviewed Aptos CEO Avery Ching.
The Farcaster crew showed up for sure. Earlier in the day, we also met more Farcaster people like Nounish Prof, Adrienne, Plantsnft, Jachian, and Haele, and more. Finally putting faces to PFPs we see online will never not be a good experience.
There was a booth where they took your photo and read your aura (we got auras now, people). There was also a massive merch booth that never ran out of stuff, customizable shirts with Aptos patches, scarves, bonnets, hoodies, tons of shirts, long sleeves, caps, pins, tote bags, and basically every crypto merch imaginable.
There was even a giant train setup we could “ride” en route to the Aptos Experience.
Me and Jacy played a classic arcade machine with just two buttons and a move button. Pure nostalgia. And of course, there was a walking mentalist who blew our minds and food trucks outside serving amazing food. A solid first day through and through.
The Barclays Invitational
After the day 1 of Aptos Experience, we headed to Barclays Center for an Aptos side event called Barclays Invitational. Honestly, I was so happy to go here as someone coming from a basketball-dominated country and honestly couldn’t believe I got to say that I played on the Barclays Center court.
There were tons of fun games, a pop-up basketball shooting booth, free-flowing Barclays Invitational merch, custom shirts, and a photo booth to get your rookie photo taken, plus great food and drinks. There was a three-point contest that I sadly didn’t win (we were in it for the vibes). Then came the knockout game where you had to shoot before your opponent did—this became part of Farcaster lore because 100 people joined and plantsnft came in second! Well, if Plants permits us to tell the full story, we will, but until then it’s a huge lore moment that only Plants can share. GG to him for coming in second place! There were also several 3v3 games, and people got serious about it. We saw different teams compete for the crown, and we came to support Michael, Avery, and a bunch of people from the Aptos team. They won one of the games in overtime with a game winner, a truly fitting end for a truly great day.
October 16: Day 2 - Talks, Builders, and the Afterparty
Day 2 of the Aptos Experience was just as exhilarating as Day 1. The talks we looked forward to most were Debbie Soon’s FUD to Fandom.
The Boys Club session on marketing, both attended by the Farcaster crew. We gotta support Farcasters, right? The energy stayed high throughout the day, and by nightfall, we were ready for the afterparty.
Special thanks to Jachian and Serendipity for showing us around Chinatown before heading to Chinese Tuxedo. I still think about that pancake from Golden Diner. The afterparty itself was a full-on celebration, with three packed floors of Chinese Tuxedo filled with laughter, music, and pure good vibes. It was an absolute banger way to end the Aptos Experience.
We’ve heard there will be more Aptos Experience events in the future, and we can’t wait to be there with you all again.

I spend most of my time in Farcaster, where the default is EVM and Solana. So why talk about Aptos now? Because it is fast, secure, and quietly shipping real use cases for stablecoins and payments. Also, a growing number of Aptos builders hang out on Farcaster, and there is an official Aptos Farcaster account that keeps a steady posting cadence, which is a strong signal they are serious about building here. If you like being early, this might be a good place to start.
We are making this guide to try new things, learn more about Aptos, and make sure we have the basic gear to actually dive in. Think of it as packing a starter kit before the hike: a wallet, a few safety checks, and a map of where to go first. Even if you are just curious today, getting the setup out of the way now means you are ready when something interesting drops later.
This guide is for beginners. No deep technical background required. It is written for people on Farcaster who want a simple bridge into the Aptos ecosystem. We will set up a wallet, share a few safety notes, and give you a short list of things to try. If you are used to EVM or Solana tools, we will point out what feels familiar and what is different on Aptos. The goal is to make your first steps simple and low pressure, so you can explore at your own pace and decide what is worth your time.
TL;DR
Aptos is a layer 1 blockchain focused on speed, safety, and real world use.
You will need an Aptos wallet. Start with Petra by Aptos Labs.
Petra supports web, iOS, and Android. You can create a wallet with email using Keyless, which means no seed phrase to write down. You can also create a wallet using the good old seedphrase if that's your thing.
Once set up, you can explore apps, try stablecoin yields inside the wallet, and save your Petra name on mobile.
What is Aptos
Aptos is its own blockchain. It is not EVM compatible, so you will not use MetaMask or Rabby. It was started by engineers who previously worked on Meta’s crypto efforts. The simple idea behind Aptos is speed plus safety. In practice that means quick confirmations, low fees, and a developer stack that tries to prevent common errors before they happen.
A quick word on Move
Aptos uses a programming language called Move. Move is a safety first language built to handle digital assets correctly. Instead of treating tokens like plain numbers, Move models them as resources that cannot be copied or accidentally destroyed. That design helps prevent common bugs like minting the same asset twice or losing funds due to a bad contract pattern.
You do not need to learn Move to use Aptos, but knowing that assets are treated as protected objects will help the rest of this guide make more sense.
Step 1: Get a wallet (Petra)
There are several Aptos wallets, but Petra is the easiest place to start because it is built by Aptos Labs and supports all major platforms.
Website: petra.app
X: @PetraWallet
Web setup
Go to petra.app. Double check the URL. Scammers copy websites.
Click Add to Browser in the top right. This opens the Chrome Web Store.
Click Add to Chrome to install the extension.
Open Petra. Choose Create an account.
Choose how to create your wallet
You have two options:
Continue with email. Easy and familiar. Protect the email with a strong password and 2FA.
Create with seed phrase. Classic method. You write down 12 or 24 words and store them safely.
For this guide we will choose Continue with email.
What “Keyless” means
Petra supports Keyless accounts. You can sign in with your Google account instead of writing a seed phrase. If you need to recover your wallet, you can use Google’s password recovery. This lowers the chance of losing your keys. Still, use strong security on your email.
Select Continue with Google and complete the sign in flow.
Create a password for the Petra extension.
You are done. Your wallet is now ready inside your browser.
Mobile setup (optional but recommended)
Download Petra on iOS or Android and reserve your free Petra name. It is a simple way to personalize your address and makes sending funds easier.
Step 2: Basic safety
Step 3: Fund your wallet
To try apps, you will want a little $APT for fees and some stablecoins if you plan to test yields or payments.
Deposit APT or USDC from an exchange that supports Aptos (e.g., Coinbase, Binance).
Use a fiat on-ramp to fund Petra directly where available: Banxa, MoonPay, or Apple Pay (via Stripe).
Or bridge from another chain using a reputable bridge. Move small amounts first.
Step 4: Explore from the wallet
One of Petra’s best features is one‑click DeFi for stablecoins. You can tap to earn using integrated lending from top Aptos protocols. You do not need to leave the wallet to start. This is beginner friendly. Read details in app, start small, and track your positions.
What to try next
Pick one or two of these to get a feel for the ecosystem:
Common questions
Is Aptos supported in the Farcaster wallet? Not by default. You can still join Aptos communities, follow projects, and use Petra for transactions.
Can I import my EVM seed phrase into Petra? No. Aptos uses different keys. Create a new wallet in Petra.
Do I need APT to use stablecoins? You will need a small amount of APT to cover transaction fees, even if you mostly use stablecoins.
What other wallets can I use? Alongside Petra, other Aptos-compatible wallets include Martian and Pontem. Try them if you want alternative interfaces or features.
Where can I see apps built on Aptos? Explore community hubs such as Aptos Foundation or join Aptos-focused Farcaster channels to find active projects.
Can I bridge assets from Ethereum or Solana? Yes, through verified cross-chain bridges like Panora that support Aptos. Always start with small test amounts and confirm you are on legitimate sites.
Is Aptos open source? Yes. The Move language and many of Aptos’ core components are open source, making it easier for developers to contribute and audit the code.
Final thoughts
You do not need to become a chain maxi to explore new ground. Aptos is interesting for speed, safety, and stablecoin utility. Petra makes the first step lightweight with email sign in. Start small, stay curious, and share what you learn with the community.

Today took a hard left. Two of the biggest projects building on Farcaster, Rainbow and Clanker, just turned the timeline into a boardroom. I will try to be fair here. I use Clanker, I hold some $CLANKER, and I have used Rainbow. Below is a clean timeline and what it could mean for holders, builders, and the broader Farcaster economy.
What Kicked This Off
Rainbow published a public letter at 1:49 PM EST September 23, 2025 on X and Farcaster addressed to Clanker founder Jack Dishman and $CLANKER holders, outlining a proposal to acquire Clanker and “deeply integrate” it into Rainbow. Highlights from Rainbow’s letter as posted:
Token: Rainbow teases a future $RNBW token and proposes to airdrop 4% of total supply to $CLANKER holders, which Rainbow says would be about 20% of $RNBW circulating at TGE.
Accrued fees: 100% of CLANKER LP fees accrued to date would be airdropped to $CLANKER holders.
Ongoing fees: 100% of future CLANKER LP fees would be distributed to $CLANKER holders, and post‑$RNBW TGE those would route to $RNBW stakers.
Deadline: Rainbow’s letter set a proposed closing date on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
Why holders reacted
Clanker’s fee machine is real. A public dashboard shows ~$39M in fees since launch (see Dune). At the time the letter circulated, $CLANKER’s market cap was ~33M and spiked toward ~50M on the news. For many holders, this was the first time a tangible, ongoing value flow back to token holders appeared in writing.
But the optics were messy
Publishing an acquisition letter in public before a deal is signed is uncommon. It invites questions: why go public now, what is happening behind the scenes, and is this negotiation or marketing? As Garrett noted, Rainbow’s move reads like a seemingly unsolicited bid to acquire Clanker for 4% of a not‑yet‑launched $RNBW supply which is a tough offer for Clanker to entertain as written but it does surface the core issue of weak value accrual for $CLANKER. Much of that could, in theory, be addressed by Clanker itself with clearer flywheel design and direct value routing to holders. Regulatory guidance on token value accrual remains a legal grey area, even as the contours slowly come into focus.
Five Hours Later: Clanker Responds
Jack posted that Rainbow approached Clanker last month about a potential acquisition. After discussions, Clanker declined and told Rainbow last Thursday. Jack says on Friday Rainbow threatened to publish a public letter if Clanker did not respond, and Clanker still said no. Rainbow then published without consent. Jack closed by saying they are not excited to work with Rainbow after how this played out and do not plan to continue conversations.
Another Turn: Rainbow’s Counter
About an hour later, Rainbow posted that Clanker came to Rainbow first to discuss acquisition and that a deal was essentially done, pending some Clanker housekeeping, until Clanker went cold.
Rainbow says sharing the letter was not a threat and reiterated they are ready to close, inviting Clanker to propose alternatives.
Reality Check
Right now it is claim vs claim. Without receipts, it is hard to adjudicate. The practical read:
If Rainbow’s economics are real and executed as written, $CLANKER holders benefit from accrued fees plus a $RNBW allocation, and later from fee routing to $RNBW stakers.
Process matters. Taking negotiations public can burn trust and makes integration harder even if terms are attractive. It's really bad optics for Rainbow at the moment for instigating.
Overlap risk. Rainbow and Clanker share many users. Community goodwill matters for both.
Open invite: if both teams agree to share timestamped receipts, I will publish both sides in the next issue and let readers weigh the facts. The only other way to solve this is to square up and the founder who wins gets to acquire the one who loses.
Related Timeline Notes
Native’s Derek posted a satirical counter suggesting Native should acquire Rainbow instead. The memes are memeing.
I also spun up a Ponder poll asking the community where they currently lean. Rainbow or Clanker?
My Take
I still like both products. Both found product‑market fit and have strong teams. The public back‑and‑forth is a reputational drag for each, but the upside case for users is real if thoughtful, aligned economics land. Until then, it is speculation layered on top of speculation. Keep size sane.

Markets flushed around 2 AM EST with roughly 2 billion USD in liquidations reported so far. Can the dev fix this? I thought we signed up for a bull market. Jokes aside, I am still optimistically bullish on the future of finance. I want to come back to this note in a few weeks because the price action looks disconnected from sentiment. Markets dipped but I remain optimistic about where the future of finance is headed. The past few days felt a lot like early 2021 again: risk on, active bidding, and back‑to‑back launches across Base, Binance, and beyond. People are already speculating on MetaMask, OpenSea, and Base token. Wen Farcaster token? We will see. I am also noticing crypto content break out beyond X and Farcaster, which is a good mainstream signal. Could it also be a near‑top tell? Maybe, but I still think we have runway. My read: we probably drift higher into early next week as the dust settles, but position sizing still matters. It has been quieter on Farcaster with everyone flying back from Basecamp, yet Crypto Twitter lit up with two big launches: Syndicate and Aster. Syndicate became the first token to debut on Aerodrome’s launchpad, which is a huge statement for Base. Aster launches its token and is positioning itself as a Hyperliquid rival on Binance with heavyweight backing, which adds fuel to the feeling that alt season is creeping in. If this cycle is a baseball game, it feels like the sixth or seventh inning, still room to run. Net of it all, higher feels more likely than not, but stay nimble.

Base says it is beginning to explore a network token, and in crypto “exploring” usually means the train has left the station even if no timetable is posted. If Coinbase the company has $COIN, there is a tidy symmetry to Base the network eventually having $BASE. Call it the “coin everything” ethos meeting first principles: if you believe tokens are native to the internet and align networks, then the network that onboards the next wave should probably eat its own cooking. Jesse once said there were no plans for a Base token, but the team also keeps pushing boundaries, so the stance evolving to “we are exploring” fits the arc.
Polymarket currently puts the odds at about 18 percent for a 2025 launch, which sounds low for something that would be seismic. Remember, Base is already the top Ethereum L2 by daily activity without a token. That is exactly why a token could be huge. It can formalize incentives, share sequencer revenue, fund public goods, and set a blueprint for how regulated companies launch coins responsibly.
Source: Polymarket
There is also the bridge angle: Base is building a bridge between Solana and Base, both directions. If they ship that cleanly before any token, it strengthens the pipes for capital to move, increases the odds that liquidity migrates to Base, and gives enterprises a more credible and secure path. For those already on chain, you can bridge today with third-party routes; a Base-built bridge would simply tighten the security model and simplify the UX.
The risk, of course, is turning the network into an airdrop farm. My take: if you are going to farm, at least farm your curiosity. Use the apps, contribute to communities, attend meetups, and understand the culture instead of spamming transactions. If and when $BASE arrives, the strongest signal will be meaningful participation, not empty activity. Either way, this will set the tone for the next cycle.
Base Begins Exploring A Network Token
The network confirmed it is exploring a token. No timeline yet, but the door is open. Odds of a 2025 launch sit around 18 percent on Polymarket.
