\ \ Decentraland\ \ Volputechne: PanelHaus Artist in Residency Exhibition ~ 4th Tower Floor at OpenExO | Decentraland\ \ Every Friday, join Empress Trash at PanelHaus for her two-month tenure as their first Artist in Residence. Explore and discuss her ongoing and evolving Voluptechne series of AI-collaborative works during PanelHaus’s Friday OpenHaus. Pieces from this series have been exhibited in Chicago, Mexico City, Miami, NYC, and Lisbon. This marks the first virtual solo exhibition of these works. The gallery pieces were hand-selected by UnrealApe from her extensive body of work on this theme. For the duration of the residency, she will reveal a new textured digital painting each week on a 3D model of a historic sculpture. View the artwork collection on Transient Labs. ---- Voluptechne (n.): An emergent art form that uses generative artificial intelligence to fuse fragmented opulent traditional portraiture and aristocratic grandeur with cyberpunk and futurist elements. It features hyper-feminine sovereign figures rendered with themes of technological liberation. ---- Empress Trash is a multiversatile visual artist working across painting, glitch aesthetics, animation, AI, and interactive art. She is known for her chaotic neutral, avant-garde approach that blends trash culture roots with disruptive femininity. Based in Mexico City, she has exhibited internationally and is active in the NFT and metaverse scenes, where she pushes boundaries around identity, sovereignty, and unfiltered creative expression. GM ~ I had another super fun weekend in /dcl and ready to start another week of causing trouble.
I'm hanging out in my studio while I run errands irl and few practicing the lute gifted to me by @billytea this weekend so I can be Antrom's #1 Bard.
This week I'm streaming again Tues/Thurs/Sat on Decentraland YouTube, planning out the UGC Summer Program launch, Friday is week 2 of my artist in residency at @panelhausapp, working on the TEIA community center, and need to finalize my curation for RGMTL .... so it's a super busy week to start June.

GN ~ absolute final tweaks for now to my atelier. I replaced the sofas and rugs with ones I made with AI last year (a little wonky) to get the aesthetic onpoint. The sofas I may try to do models of myself to streamline them at some point, but rn this is good enough.
I also lowered the pool edge which I think was the final piece to make it not feel like a fishtank lol

I'm so poor rn, but I cashed out 1/2 my current $SNAP to get dope tools in DCL made by Doctor Dripp 🖤
These tools will enable me to give away things super easy now and track who attends my events in world. Right now I may not give away a lot of wearables, but I am knows to give away a lot of art :P

Updates to my Atelier in DCL <3 I have added a streaming screen to an easel to do in world live painting!
My question is how do I make an easel that I can bring with me that can put my live painting stream anywhere? I definitely am not smart enough to figure that out or if it's even possible 🥲

Don't ever work with people that treat your livelihood as an artist as a bargaining chip in their weird games.
The second fnd's switch got flipped off cause people's "hands were forced" showed how under the mask of nice words really as artists we are expendable to them.

Platforms come and go, some of us artists endure tho.
I have cancelled all my FND listings, and made a gallery of work on OS (for now) of 1/1's from Makersplace, KnownOrigin, and Foundation (and my Death Punk in there for fun) that are available.
Base prices are 1 $eth with a few priced higher, because I think these are archeological artifacts by this point, some with deep lore and history.

V1.1 of my Atelier is done with it's first interactive feature, a video screen cover of art that I can toggle the visiblity when I'm not showing something people can still have something pretty to look at. I put my Artemis II found glitch art piece as the placeholder.
I also added social link buttons, a couple pieces of my @mederu_art art, and most importantly the ability to stand and sit in the tree.

I finished my first built from scratch 1x1 parcel in decentraland main world <3
I'm excited to reveal v1 L’Impératrice Atelier my store/meeting/studio/gallery mixed space right next to Itchy Butthole and totally not some evil overlords castle.
The Atelier is my virtual art studio for people to come and go from and I will host all sorts of cool stuff. The build is inspired by 1980s neo art deco mixed with architecture I've experienced I've here in CDMX.
One thing I love about CDMX buildings is there is this phenomenon where it will seem small but once you go inside there is layers and levels.
What I did with this build is min maxxing, making it as large as I could in the parcel with minimal assets. It's actually only a little bit more than 5 mb of storage and I have ways to compress it down more.
Using Decentraland's creator hub tool worked so well. I could really flow intuitively and get in the zone without feeling there was excessive technical steps in my way to create this.
I have lots of room to add more things as well, which I will, as I iterate on the build to refine it.🖤

I made for mobile a 2D version of my avatar to be able to stream from iPad too if I wanna. Now that I’m all set up on desktop and mobile I’m all ready for this week to start streaming again. I don’t have a schedule planned yet, I’m just gonna do it when it feels right to this week 🖤
