Wij best vaak, omdat we in Frankrijk wonen. En ergens vind ik dit wel terecht. De Europese infrastructuur is steeds vaker, vooral voor vrachtverkeer, maar ook gewoon voor personenauto's, niet uitsluitend voor de bewoners van het betreffende land. Zijn vignetten de oplossing, of is het misschien nog beter om het onderhoud aan doorgaande wegen uit een Europese pot te betalen? Alle E-routes, bijvoorbeeld.

Zouden jullie betalen voor een Belgisch vignet, of liever via Duitsland omrijden als dat engiszins zinvol is?

At Farcon Rome last May, Rish (CEO of Farcaster steward Neynar) talked about composable social. On Farcaster, like on other platforms such as Telegram, mini apps are a thing. These are apps that run in the client you use for your social networking. There are games, shows, coin launchers, wallet cleaners, long-read apps, art creation apps, middleware apps and the list goes on. Additionally, Farcaster launched snaps: interactive posts. Short-lived single-purpose applications. From polls to tip jars to collaborative poetry creation tools to a full-blown minesweeper variant that can be played in the feed.

Sure, there is a risk management element to this. And of course that needs to be taken seriously. But still, composable social is something that has a future. Especially with AI enabling all of us to create something fun or useful in a few minutes. So why is this functionality missing from Bluesky and Mastodon at the moment? Or am I missing something?

Sweet. Another update on Arke.

If you use the keyword to share at the end of your cast, and your cast is longer than a Bluesky or Mastodon post can be, Arke breaks up your longer cast into multiple posts, and the entirety is shared as a thread on both Bluesky and Mastodon.

These days, it is often too hot to do a second walk in the afternoon. Both Duke and I rather do our park visits in the morning and late at night now. Even in the morning, it is a bit too hot for running after the ball. Fortunately, there are cool sticks to be found. Like this one. And if you chew on it hard enough, 1 stick will become 2.

Even better.

How are you dealing with the heat, dog friends? If you are also living in areas where it is hotter than it normally would be, that is.
